Fit And Motivated 2019
Workout routines always start off great.
We get pumped when we begin to follow a new plan, but many times the feeling doesn't last & we lose motivation.
We hit a really good streak, and then...BOOM!
We stop.
Inconsistent workouts lead to inconsistent progress.
Finding your secret sauce to perform at your best keeps one motivated and moving forward.
FIND A GYM BRO
Having a workout partner has always helped.
Finding the right Gym Bro takes time, because you don't want to waste effort with the wrong buddy. Or being with someone that likes to workout their gums instead of their biceps.
Having people in your life that are serious, passionate, and excited about exercise as you are.
When it comes to the gym, it's GO TIME!
There's also nothing wrong with healthy competition as well.
At times me and my gym bro text each other silly memes or remind each other what body part we're working out next.
This gets me pumped and ready to hit the gym that next time around.
The gym bro will always become one of your best firends.
HIRE A TRAINER
I'm not just saying this because I am a trainer, but many people find themselves lost in the gym.
This can lead to boredom, confusion, and zero results.
The next thing you know, it's been 2 months since you hit the gym.
You're back on the couch, deep in a TV series with an empty pint of Ben & Jerry's......At least you're caught up on Netflix lol.
Hire a trainer to mix it up & get you started on the right foot ahead.
A good trainer will be there for you and will do what it takes to keep you motivated.
RECORD YOUR PROGRESS
Recording progress is HUGE.
Ain't nothing more motivating than seeing the numbers go up! Up! Up!
When recording weightlifting, time, and body status it is easier to identify progress and gains.
Numbers don't lie and micro gains still count as GAINS.
This especially helps if you're working on weight loss.
We tend to lose motivation when we don't see weight loss right away.
Just because you look in the mirror and don't see much change doesn't mean your body isn't.
FOLLOW A FITNESS INFLUENCER
Finding a fitness influencer is huge.
My idol was, and still is Mr. Olympia 1976 Franco Columbu.
I embraced Franco's work the most because I felt like we had a lot in common. Never met the guy, but we're similar body types and height.
His muscle and physic was something that I idolized and inspired to be. I wanted to be Franco!
I've probably watched Pumping Iron 50 million times, as well as reading his book "The Body Builders Nutrition Book", front to back 5 times.
I learned that if you want to learn your best and be the best, it all starts with optimizing your nutrition.
His influence is what inspired me to enter my first bodybuilding show.
I took second place.
My physic was changed forever.
